Why RRB signature size is 30–49 KB (and why files get rejected)
Unlike SSC or IBPS, RRB has a minimum of 30 KB. A small, heavily compressed signature (for example 12 KB) is rejected even though it looks fine. Keep the JPG between 35 and 47 KB to stay safely inside the range.
How to make your RRB signature 30–49 KB
- Sign in running (cursive) handwriting with a black pen on white paper. Block or capital letters are not accepted.
- Scan at 100 DPI or more, or take a sharp phone photo in daylight.
- Crop close to the ink with photo crop and clean the background with the signature background remover.
- Tap Signature 276×157, 45 KB above. If the result is below 30 KB, raise the KB target or dimensions in the image resizer.
RRB live photo tips
- Plain light background, face fully visible, camera at eye level.
- No cap, sunglasses or mask; good light from the front.
- Do not apply mehendi before the exam – it blocks biometric capture at the centre.
