Printing from a phone or at a photo studio
Most studios in India print a 4×6 inch sheet for ₹10–₹30. Carry the JPG on your phone and ask for "4R print, no cropping, actual size". At a cyber café, print the A4 PDF on photo paper with scaling switched off.
Common printing mistakes
- "Fit to page" scaling – makes photos the wrong size.
- Printing on plain paper – many offices reject it; use photo paper.
- Shadows on the background or a cropped chin.
- Using a 35 × 45 mm Indian passport photo where 2×2 inch is required (US, India OCI/visa forms).
