WPM, एक्यूरेसी और गलतियाँ कैसे गिनी जाती हैं?
- Gross WPM = (all keystrokes ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. In Kruti Dev mode a keystroke is each key you press; in Mangal mode each Unicode character you type.
- Net WPM = gross WPM − (uncorrected errors ÷ minutes), never below 0.
- Errors are counted per visible letter (grapheme): क्षि or प्र counts as one letter, so one wrong matra is one error, not three.
- Accuracy = correct letters ÷ letters typed × 100.
- The timer starts with your first key, stops while paused, and the test ends when time is up, you press Finish or you complete the passage.

कृतिदेव टाइपिंग टेस्ट (CPCT, SSC और कोर्ट परीक्षाएँ)
Many government typing tests – MP CPCT, Rajasthan High Court LDC, district court clerk, SSC and state stenographer exams – require Hindi typing in the Kruti Dev 010 font on the Remington keyboard layout. In Kruti Dev mode the passage is shown only in Hindi. You type the Remington keys on a normal keyboard (for example lqcg = सुबह, gS = है) and a live preview converts your typing to Hindi, so you can catch matra and half-letter mistakes instantly. Mangal (Unicode) mode works with the Inscript layout or any Hindi input method on your device. You do not need to install the Kruti Dev font.
How WPM is counted: 5 keystrokes = 1 word. Gross WPM = all keystrokes ÷ 5 ÷ minutes; net WPM counts only correct keystrokes. Most exams ask for 25–35 net WPM in Hindi and 30–35 WPM in English – always check your notification.

मुफ़्त टाइपिंग स्पीड टेस्ट: WPM कैसे निकाला जाता है
This free typing test measures your speed in words per minute (WPM), the unit employers and typing courses use in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. The default is a 1-minute WPM test in English. Choose 2, 5, 10 or 15 minutes for a steadier result. Long tests automatically add more passages, so the text never runs out.
- One “word” = 5 keystrokes, including spaces and punctuation, so long and short words count fairly.
- Gross WPM = (keystrokes ÷ 5) ÷ minutes.
- Net WPM = gross WPM − (uncorrected errors ÷ minutes). This is the number most tests report.
- Accuracy = correct characters ÷ characters typed × 100.
Example: in a 1-minute test you type 250 keystrokes with 3 uncorrected errors. Your gross speed is 250 ÷ 5 = 50 WPM and your net speed is 50 − 3 = 47 WPM. An average adult types around 35–40 WPM. Many office jobs ask for 40–50 WPM with 90%+ accuracy, and data-entry roles often want 60 WPM or more.
