Frequently asked questions
Which keyboard layout does Kruti Dev 010 use?
Kruti Dev 010 uses the Remington (typewriter) Hindi layout mapped onto a normal English QWERTY keyboard. For example, d types क, k types the ा matra, and f types the ि matra before the letter.
How do I type ि (choti i matra) in Kruti Dev?
Press f before the consonant. For example f + d gives कि. In Unicode/Mangal (Inscript) it is typed after the letter, which is why converted text needs our converter.
How do I type half letters and र् (reph) in Kruti Dev?
Most half letters are on the Shift key (D = क्, E = म्, R = त्). For reph (र्) type Z after the letter, e.g. dkZ = कार्.
