Image Converter – JPG, PNG and WebP
Portals usually accept only JPG or JPEG, while phones and websites often save WebP or PNG. Convert any number of images to the format you need in one go.
How to use the Image Format Converter
- Choose one or more images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP).
- Select the output format and quality.
- For JPG, pick the colour that replaces transparent areas (white by default).
- Press Convert and download the files one by one or as a ZIP.
JPG and JPEG are the same format. WebP gives the smallest files but some older portals do not accept it. PNG is lossless and best for screenshots and signatures with transparency.
🔒 Privacy: this tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to Crop Desk or any other server, and you can even use it offline once the page has loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Is JPEG the same as JPG?
Yes. They are two spellings of the same format; any form that asks for JPEG accepts .jpg files.
Can I convert HEIC iPhone photos?
Most browsers cannot open HEIC. On iPhone, set Camera › Formats › Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG first.
Will converting reduce quality?
Converting to JPG or WebP at “High” quality is almost invisible. PNG output keeps every pixel.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser.
